How many of us have made choices we live to regret? Sometimes those choices stay with us for a long time. We are all so distracted by our everyday lives that we sometimes make knee-jerk decisions we later come to regret.
Where possible, my advice to you is to delay your decision. If a response is not needed immediately, then take your time.
Find a quiet moment to really ponder your decision. Give yourself time to weigh up all the options and possibilities. Make some notes and leave them to fester. You may find yourself adding to those notes as the week goes on. Finally, sit with your notes or ideas and explore the eventualities of all the possibilities.
Allow yourself to trust your gut. Take a little time to feel what’s right for you. Clearly, not all decisions can be made this way, but I feel the important ones are worth taking your time over.
